This program is designed as an intensive programme of study to prepare students for admission to the second year of an IT related degree course. Diploma in Computing programme contains a comprehensive and dynamic curriculum which enables students to pursue specific career pathway/s in the discipline of information technology by providing knowledge & experience in relevant subject area fundamentals and concepts.
This course is designed in such a way that it opens up a variety of IT majors such as mobile application development, computer graphics & game development, IT security, interactive media, cloud computing and software engineering that can be mastered by students. At the same time the program provides the theoretical understanding and experience necessary to keep abreast in these rapidly changing fields.
A student who successfully completes this program will be exempted from 8 first year modules of the Bachelor of Information Technology undergraduate course offered by University of Deakin, Australia
Students should obtain a minimum of 3 ordinary passes OR 2 credit passes at the GCE/London Advanced Level AND obtain a minimum of 6 passes in the GCE/London Ordinary Level with Credit passes for English & Mathematics
A total of 11 modules are offered through this program;
Out of which 7 modules are offered as core modules and 4 modules are offered as optional modules.
Out of the 4 optional modules a student can chose one module that suits his/her IT major interest.

After successfully completing the diploma program a student can apply for an offer to join Deakin University Australia to continue further studies by enrolling to the Bachelor of Information Technology degree.
But to apply for an offer a student MUST have Obtained an average above 60% for the Diploma Program AND Secured a score of 6.0 or above for each skill of IELTS Academic.
A successful candidate who satisfy the entry requirements will be exempted (Credit for prior learning search tool) from 8 modules of the Bachelor of Information Technology degree
