IIT History and Facts
 The institute has been a pioneer in offering British degrees in Sri Lanka with a proud history which dates back to 1990. Over the years more than 1800 graduates have passed out and are employed in prestigious positions in industry and academia.

Convocations
 The convocation is a ceremonial assembly of members of a university with the specific aim of awarding degrees to students who have duly fulfilled the requirements of the degree programme. The bringing together of family and friends is testimony to the achievement of the student. It is a moment for the students and the Institute to be proud.
Awards & Achievements
 Research and presentation of projects have won international and local awards. These milestones have been an inspiration and encouragement to freshers. Presentations also have been made at international conferences.
About Sri Lanka
 A tropical paradise, rich in history and an abundance of nature's beauty, Sri Lanka is a moderately sized tropical island of remarkable variety. The topography varies from the coastal plains with palm fringed sandy beaches to the central hill country of over 2000 metre elevation where the vegetation is somewhat similar to the temperate lands of Europe.
