It was the night of the carols that stirred the spirituality of Christmas among the students of IIT when the choir sang their hearts out with blossoming joys of the season. The musical atmosphere and the harmonious voices of my fellow colleagues were much cherished by the audience who sang in resonance with the choir. The sounds of joy may definitely have helped the audience to recall their happiest memories of Christmas, just as it brought back the merriest moments that Christmas has brought me throughout my life.

Reflecting back on his years at IIT, the chief guest of the evening, Mr. Druvi Jayamanne conveyed his Christmas message through the inspiring thought, “God will resonate in harmony with those who live a fruitful life, as a fine-tuned piano resonates with another”.

Christmas is a time of renewal, when it feels good to give, when grievances are abolished, when heaven comes to earth for a moment. This Christmas I invite you to start your life out the way you have always wanted to, by acknowledging your gifts of spirit, so that angels from the glorious heavens will sing that you, a very special human being is reborn. May love and happiness be your gifts this Christmas. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
