Mozilla Campus Club of IIT

The Mozilla Campus Club of IIT is dedicated to building a strong community for free and open-source development within Sri Lanka. As part of the Mozilla Club of Sri Lanka, we aim to expand your awareness of free resources in the technology field and guide you on how to get involved, even if it’s just in your spare time. The Mozillian family continues to grow globally, offering students the chance to take part in international challenges and expand their professional networks.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is the world’s largest professional body dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. The IEEE Student Chapter at IIT, founded in March 2015, provides a platform for students to connect, collaborate, and grow within the field of engineering and technology.

The IEEE Computer Society is a leading professional society under the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), dedicated to advancing computer science and information technology worldwide. At IIT, the IEEE Computer Society Student Chapter provides a platform for students passionate about computing, software, and emerging technologies to learn, collaborate, and innovate.

The IEEE WIE Affinity Group Of Informatics Institute Of Technology

IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is one of the world’s largest professional organizations dedicated to empowering women engineers, scientists, and innovators while inspiring the next generation of girls to pursue careers in STEM. The IEEE WIE Affinity Group at IIT upholds this mission by creating opportunities for women in technology through hackathons, webinars, STEM workshops, and community-driven charity projects. These initiatives not only encourage skill development but also provide a supportive environment for women to thrive, collaborate, and lead in their chosen fields.

IET On Campus – Informatics Institute of Technology

IET On Campus – Informatics Institute of Technology is a student-led initiative affiliated with The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), one of the world’s largest professional engineering organizations. Our chapter is committed to bridging the gap between academic learning and professional practice by empowering students to become future-ready engineers, technologists, and innovators. We organize a wide range of activities each year, including technical talks, workshops, competitions, networking sessions, and industry collaborations to provide students with practical exposure, leadership skills, and global opportunities in engineering and technology.

Drama Circle Club of IIT

We are a community of actors, writers, and creative minds who see theatre as more than performance, it’s a way to share ideas, build confidence, and connect people. Our regular meet-ups include acting workshops, script development sessions, and group rehearsals where members can experiment with dialogue, movement, and stagecraft in a supportive environment. We focus on acting, directing, and storytelling, giving every member a chance to learn core theatre skills while exploring the collaborative process that makes live performance special.

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE RAS) is a professional society of the IEEE that supports the development and the exchange of scientific knowledge in the fields of robotics and automation, including applied and theoretical issues. IEEE RAS seeks to promote innovation, education, and research in robotics, emphasizing adaptability and autonomy. It is a volunteer-driven society with over 15,000 members around the world.

Data Analytics Society of IIT

The IIT Data Analytics Society serves as a platform for students to bridge the gap between academia and industry by connecting with professionals and experts in the field of data analytics.
