IIT Student Selected for Google Summer of Code 2026 with OpenMRS

Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), Sri Lanka, proudly announces
that Dilan Kavishka Gamage, a final-year Software
Engineering undergraduate, has been selected for
Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2026 under
OpenMRS.

Google Summer of Code is an internationally recognized initiative by
Google that enables student developers to contribute to open-source
software projects while collaborating with experienced mentors and global
development communities.

Through this opportunity, Dilan will contribute to OpenMRS, a globally
recognized open-source medical record system focused on improving digital
healthcare solutions around the world.

This achievement reflects IIT’s continued commitment to producing
