The Informatics Institute of Technology (IIT), Sri Lanka, officially launched two undergraduate programmes: IIT’s own UGC-approved Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and the BSc (Hons) FinTech with Data Analytics, Sri Lanka’s first British FinTech degree, awarded by the University of Westminster, UK.

The Bachelor of Business Administration is a degree awarded by IIT and approved by Sri Lanka’s University Grants Commission (UGC). Its launch represents an important step in IIT’s development as an institution offering its own degree programmes.
The three-year BBA combines core business disciplines, including management, marketing, finance and accounting, with contemporary areas such as artificial intelligence, data analytics and digital marketing. The BSc (Hons) FinTech with Data Analytics introduces a British degree pathway that connects finance with technology and analytical skills.
Awarded by the University of Westminster, UK, the programme explores areas including financial modelling, blockchain, big data, predictive analytics and machine learning. It prepares students to understand how digital technologies and data are changing financial services.
